Dance of the Spirit
and Charcoal on Canvas by Pat Calderone

About the Artist

Pat’s work is a thought provoking collection of paintings inspired by nature and the whispering of stories coming to her from the land and the forest. Through her work she tells of the Cherokee people and animals who once lived on the land she now calls her home. Pat lives in a log home on 10 acres adjacent to the US Forest Service and the Bartram Trail, just under Rabun Bald, the second highest mountain in Georgia. She works on canvas and wood in charcoal and glazes of transparent and metallic washes of acrylic.

Pat studied at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and has been involved in the arts since childhood. She has recently been displayed with a one man show “The Silent Wind” at the Summit One Gallery in Highlands, North Carolina, “Dance of the Spirit”, at The Globe Gallery, Clayton, Georgia “Touch The Earth”, also at the Globe Gallery, also exhibiting currently at the Blue Eyed buffalo in Dillard, Georgia. Soon to be opening Studio/Gallery in Scaly Mountain, NC. contact information – 828.787.1828
