Contains approximately 2,600 postcards collected by Fred Kahn. The cards have scenes of Asheville and the surrounding area, and are primarily from the first two decades of the 20th century. In addition to depicting scenes showing the development of Asheville, and the buildings that existed in the city during the early 20th century, the collection also illustrates how one image can be reused, and sometimes modified, for different postcards, and by different publishers.
