The Internet Archive is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, the Internet Archives provides free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.
The photographic collections of Special Collections & University Archives number some 20,000 items, including prints and negatives.
Special Collections & University Archives hold very few motion picture films on original stock film. The holdings for video cassettes are undergoing migration to CD and DVD and the new material is largely in formats that are readily accessible. Nearly all audio cassette formats have been converted to either CD or DVD formats.
