The CrAFT Studio features three (3) 3D printers that are available for student, faculty, and staff use.

Please allow three (3) business days for print processing during fall and spring semesters and five (5) business days turnaround time during peak printing times (e.g. Undergraduate Research Symposium), intersession, and summer semesters.
* For the Form 2 SLA printer and NinjaTek NinjaFlex filament for the TAZ 6 printer, please allow one (1) additional business day processing time due to machine complexity and configuration.

File Submission Process

  1. Submit your job via the 3D Printing Submission Form as an STL or OBJ file.
  2. A CrAFT Studio Technician will contact you within one (1) business day with confirmation that your file is able to be printed and with an estimated price. If there are issues with your file, those will be addressed during this process.
  3. Pick up your invoice from the CrAFT Studio during our regular business hours. Prints must be paid for before they are processed.
  4. Take your invoice and pay with cash or check at the Circulation Desk. For information about charging to a department, contact Amanda Glenn-Bradley, User Engagement Librarian & Coordinator of the CrAFT Studio.
  5. Once we receive confirmation of your print job being paid for, a technician will process your print job. Please allow for a minimum of three (3) business days turnaround time during the fall and spring semesters and five (5) business days during high volume times (e.g. Undergraduate Research Symposium), intersession, and summer semesters. The Form 2 SLA Printer and NinjaTek NinjaFlex filament for the TAZ 6 printer require an additional one (1) business day of processing time due to machine complexity and configuration.
  6. You will be notified by email when your 3D printed item is ready to pick up from the Research & Technology Desk on the main level of the library.
