Using the Library: Finding Books

Finding Books

1. Search our library catalog

You can also expand your search to other libraries by searching the Western North Carolina Library Network Catalog or Worldcat. Request these books via Interlibrary Borrowing.

2. Note the location (General Collection, Reference, DVDs, Periodicals, etc) and call number. Use our building map to locate the materials you need.

  • History, arts, social sciences & literature can be found upstairs, while STEM subjects are generally found on the main floor. You'll also find reference books, popular magazines, newspapers & DVDs/CDs on the main floor. The lower level houses scholarly journals, government documents, education & juvenile literature.
