Current students at other UNC System Universities can establish free lending privileges at UNCA. These privileges include:
Visiting
Students at other UNC System Universities are welcome to visit our campus and peruse our print collections and many of our online resources online. Remote access to UNCA online resources is restricted to current UNCA students, faculty and staff, but other UNC System Students should have remote access to the online collections of their own university's libraries by logging in through their own main library webpage portals.
Computing
Reciprocal Borrowers are welcome to use the 4 public workstations available at the Visitor Research Center on the main floor. Please limit your use to 30 minutes per day as these stations are in high demand.
Reciprocal Borrowers may use personal devices to connect to our wireless network using these instructions.
Borrowing
Students of other UNC System Universities may check out items from any of our circulating collections, such as our UNCA General Collection.
Printing
In order to print or make copies, you will need to purchase a Visitor Copy Card from the Circulation Services Desk. You may add additional funds to your Visitor Copy Cards at the Onecard Office in Highsmith Union. You can find UNC Asheville printing information here.
To set up borrowing privileges: First come to the Circulation Services Desk where we will have you authenticate your home institution status using the links below, and then we will create an account for you.

UNCA Students:
UNCA students, faculty, and staff are also entitled to borrowing privileges at other libraries in the UNC system. UNCA users must present their UNCA RockyCard in order to check out books from cooperating libraries.
Upon presenting your RockyCard, the cooperating library is authorized to access your patron record at UNCA library for currency and status. Policies of the lending library will apply when circulating their materials to you.
UNCA students, faculty, and staff may return other UNC system library books to Ramsey Library at UNCA.
